Application deadline is Jan. 15, 2017, for funded city-to-city learning exchange opportunities

A joint initiative of the European Commission, the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR), and UN Habitat will focus on making cities resilient and sustainable through fully funded learning exchange opportunities. Sharing lessons is a key part of UNISDR’s Making Cities Resilient Campaign toward the implementation of the Sendai Framework at the local level. Each city-to-city learning exchange aims to bring two local authorities together that experience similar issues with regard to disaster risk reduction and building resilience, so that they may learn from one another. The deadline for submitting applications is Jan. 15, 2017, and complete details are online.
